The ruins of the former castle called Pieniński, located under the summit of Castle Mountain in the Three Crowns massif. The castle probably dates back to the beginning of the 14th century. The building is connected with the biography of Saint. Kinga. According to legend, Princess Kinga and nuns from the Poor Clares monastery in Stary Sącz during the third Mongol invasion in 1287 took refuge in the local cave. This is confirmed by the results of excavations from the late 1970s, thanks to which scientists combine the construction of the castle with the princess. When Kinga was a resident of the monastery at the beginning of the 1880s, she probably built this castle in the middle of the then inaccessible Pieniny as a place of refuge. Inside the castle ruins there is a rock grotto in which the statue of St. Kinga. The castle can be reached by the Blue Tourist Trail from Szczawnica, the Nowy Przewóz - Sokolica - Czertezik - Czerteż - Bajków Groń - Zamkowa Góra - Ostry Wierch - Siodło na Trzy Korony. The entire route takes about 4 hours. Return is possible via a shorter route through the Szopka Pass.
